Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU (Nights)

Location: Pontiac, Michigan
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Step-down Unit (SDU)


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Step-down Unit (SDU), part of the Intermediate Intensive Care Unit.
  • Care for critically ill patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric.
  • Manage a wide variety of patient diagnoses including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical cases.
  • Maintain professional nursing standards.
  • Supervise CNA/SNA, LPN, or other healthcare workers as assigned.
  • Frequent floating to Step-down Unit is expected.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience (required).
  • License: Valid Michigan RN license verification required.
  • Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required.
  • Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Information

  • RN to patient ratio: 1:2 in ICU, 1:4 in Step-down Unit.
  • Dress code: Grey scrubs (any shade).
  • Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
