Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Travel Position

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in ICU for a travel assignment.

Required Qualifications

• License: Current RN license in good standing with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • NIH Certification (updated as required)
  • CPI/MOAB High Risk Online Portion (completed prior to start)
• Specialty Exams & Competencies:

  • Ascension Specialty Exam (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years)
  • Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc., updated every 3 years)
  • Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years)
  • Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical specialty competency, updated annually)
• Health & Immunizations:

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season; exemptions require mask wearing
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
  • TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit Test: Required annually prior to start
• Background & Verification:

  • Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment start
  • Employment Verification for past 7 years
  • Education Verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
  • Professional References: At least two qualifying references prior to first assignment
• Drug Screening:

  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Other Requirements:

  • Driver’s License/State ID (valid, matching address requirements)
  • Ascension Profile and Confirmation of Assignment documentation
  • Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed prior to start

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: RN ICU
• Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years ICU experience (standard for ICU travel roles)
