Job Description

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Current, active RN license in Kansas
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• License and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start

Experience

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical Nursing

• Ascension Skills Checklist for clinical competency completed within 1 year of start, updated annually

Health & Immunizations

• MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
• Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or two doses of vaccine; no declinations accepted
• Tdap: Valid within last 10 years; no declinations accepted
• TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit Test for respiratory protection (PAPR not done onsite) required annually
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA within 90 days prior to start
• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Background & Verification

• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry within 30 days prior to assignment
• Employment verification for past 7 years
• Education verification within 90 days prior to start
• Professional references: At least two required prior to first assignment
• Driver’s License/State ID valid and matching address requirements

Onboarding Requirements

• Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding and related education attestations
• Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Badge photo with white or blue background (no filters or alterations)

Summary

This is a travel RN position in Medical/Surgical nursing in Wichita, Kansas, for a 13-week contract.
