Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) Educator – Operating Room (OR) (Days)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced RN Educator for the Family Birthplace Unit with a focus on educating operating room circulation for C-sections. This role requires very high proficiency in Labor & Delivery (L&D) or circulating and C-sections. Note that candidates who are strictly L&D RNs without OR circulation experience will not be considered.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Educator in Perinatal Field
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years current RN Educator experience in the perinatal field
• Experience educating circulating in the OR for C-sections is required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree required
• Must hold a current Massachusetts RN license
• Certifications required and must be current at profile submission:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Must have Meditech Expanse experience (strongly preferred)
• Must have own vehicle for assignment
• Must provide 2 specific interview dates/times (no "anytime" availability accepted)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (travelers within 50 miles will not be considered)

Additional Requirements

• All requested time off (RTO) must be included and verified at profile submission; no more than 3 days of RTO allowed
• Scheduling requests must be made at time of submission; no scheduling changes will be approved after offer
• Profile must include:

  • Work history
  • Skills checklist for Educator role (current within 1 year)
  • Skills checklist for Labor and Delivery (current within 1 year)
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• COVID-19 vaccination required (dose date on or after 10/3/23) or approved exemption with mask-wearing on site
