Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition appropriately.
  • Serve as primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Experience

  • Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted).
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
  • TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within one year showing no infection, and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Fit test for respiratory protection required prior to start/preferred onsite (specific mask types required in some states).

Other Requirements

  • Health statement or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
  • Driver’s license/state ID valid and matching address requirements.
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA testing within specified timeframes prior to start.
  • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
  • Employment and education verifications completed prior to start and updated annually.
  • Specialty and pharmacology exams with minimum 80% score prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics completed within a year of start and updated every 3 years.
  • Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent) within past 2 years if not covered on competency exam.
  • Completion of onboarding requirements and attestations prior to or at start.
  • Professional references (at least two) required prior to first assignment.
  • Recent headshot photo with white or blue background.
