Job Opportunity: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry

Job Description

• Must be willing to float between multiple hospital locations (Mercy Main and West Des Moines).
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH).

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license for the state of Iowa.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association) – required for all direct patient care personnel.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) – required for RNs in critical care areas.
  • NIHSS certification.
  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
• Health Requirements:

  • Current fit test.
  • 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (NO THC).
  • COVID-19 vaccine (booster proof, declination or exemption accepted except for CA or IL).
  • MMR vaccination or immunity proof.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted).
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (dates apply).
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test.
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
  • Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
  • Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction).

Background and Compliance

• Criminal background checks (Federal, Nationwide, County) within last 7 years.
• Social Security Number verification.
• Education verification (highest level of academic education).
• EPLS, OIG/GSA exclusions checks within 30 days of start.
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check within 30 days of start.
• Iowa-specific checks: Criminal History, Sex Offender, Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Registries.
• Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only).
• Trinity Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Integrity and Audit Services Form, Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form, System Access Form, and other professional compliance forms required.
