Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Acute
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Specialty: Surgical Acute - Tower 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks (minimum)
Job Description
- Weekly orientations held on Mondays (except holiday weeks).
- Candidates cannot work multiple contracts simultaneously within this system.
- Must have been off permanent staff at CommonSpirit for 12 months to be eligible for travel assignment.
- No facial piercings and only natural hair colors allowed.
- Onboarding documents must be completed by 1pm CST Wednesday before start date; incomplete files will delay start.
- Level 1 trauma experience required.
- Previous travel experience required for ED and Neuro ICU specialties.
- Cerner EMR experience required for ED.
- Travel teams must have their own vehicles.
- Parking is assigned with shuttle service to the facility; night shift parking in garage.
- Facility is a teaching hospital; nurses may be expected to work with nursing students.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Neuro ICU experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Experience with Cerner EMR

- All candidate profiles must include: unit size, hospital size, trauma level, and Cerner EMR experience.
- Contract length must be at least 13 weeks; shorter contracts will not be considered.
