Job Opportunity: Technologist - X-Ray (Days)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description

• Support all areas of Radiology including plain film imaging, operating room exams, and portable exams.
• Must be proficient with Siemens general radiography equipment, Carestream portable units, GE OEC C-arms, and Medtronic O-arm.
• Operating room experience required, particularly with C-arms and O-arms.
• Experience with surgery fluoroscopy.
• Experience working with all age groups (shift dependent).
• Use of EPIC electronic medical records system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of current X-Ray experience, preferably in a hospital or medical center setting.
• Experience using Siemens fixed equipment, Carestream portable units, GE OEC C-arms, and Medtronic O-arm.
• Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred; candidates willing to apply for license at time of acceptance will be considered.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Skills checklist specific to Radiology Technologist / X-Ray discipline required.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation within the last 24 months preferred.

Additional Information

• Work schedule: 36-40 hours per week, with overtime after 40 hours.
• Orientation start date available.
• Must be able to float across multiple campuses within the area.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
