Description

Physical Therapist Job Opportunity

Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Setting: Acute Inpatient
Patient Types:
- General Medical/Deconditioned
- Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA)
- Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA)
- Spinal surgery patients
- General orthopedic patients
- Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) patients
Areas to Cover: Medical/Surgical, ICU, Emergency Room
Patients Treated per Day: Approximately 12

Schedule

Mostly 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Occasionally one day per week from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: One weekend every third weekend (Monday and Friday off those weekends)
Holiday Requirement: None

Required Qualifications

California Physical Therapist license
BLS Certification (AHA)
Acute Inpatient Physical Therapy experience is required

Additional Information

Department-specific orientation provided, including general hospital orientation and time in each area to learn the system
Dress code: Burgundy polo and scrub or khaki bottoms
No Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) available; one aide to cover one hospital
