Job Opportunity: Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT) (Nights)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Night shift
• Department uses EPIC and McKesson PACS; after-hours reading by Real Radiology
• Equipment used: Toshiba Aquilion One 640 slice and Siemens 128 slice CT scanners
• Average cases per 24-hour period: 80-90
• The Emergency Department is busy and stroke center accredited, performing many brain perfusion exams using RapidAI software for intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH)
• CT techs may assist X-ray techs with morning portables if not busy; cross-training in X-ray is not required
• Patient transporters assist with moving patients; CT techs may transport patients if needed

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification
• At least 24 months (2 years) of CT experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Active Iowa radiology license (non-licensed candidates may apply but must obtain license upon acceptance)
• Experience with Toshiba Aquilion One 640 slice and Siemens 128 slice CT equipment
• Current work history/resume must reflect 24 months of CT experience
• Skills checklist specific to CT discipline required
• Valid driver’s license
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Orientation scheduled during the week prior to first shift
• Professional references from within the last 24 months are preferred
