Physical Therapist

Location: Clovis, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Evaluate and treat patients using a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders.
  • Work may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care settings.
  • Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various disciplines involved in patient care.
  • Promote patient and caregiver self-determination to achieve the highest level of independence.
  • Serve as a patient advocate.

Pediatric Physical Therapist Additional Duties

  • Evaluate and treat infants, children, and adolescents for motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait, and other movement disorders.
  • Interview children and family members and perform physical examinations to diagnose movement disorders.
  • Ability to treat patients 18 years and older; may float to adult units if pediatric census fluctuates.
  • Settings include inpatient and inpatient emergency department.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including experience within the last year
  • At least 13 weeks of total travel experience as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
