Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Location: Novi, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Under general supervision, perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures on patients. May also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, conducting CT scans, administering intravenous contrast media, assisting with complex sterile diagnostic procedures, and ensuring high-quality imaging and documentation.

Essential Functions

• Explain examination procedures and prepare patients.
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient history as needed.
• Prepare procedure room and maintain supplies.
• Analyze anatomical structures and perform CT scans using manual controls.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions.
• Assist Radiologist with complex sterile procedures such as biopsies.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Manage imaging data and documentation in PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Communicate effectively and demonstrate teamwork and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold or be eligible for the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT).
• High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) diploma is mandatory.
• Experience working with GE Healthcare equipment.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• May work in hospital fixed units or ambulatory mobile units.
• Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment; must follow safety precautions.
• Possible exposure to contagious patients.
• Occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
