Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Med/Surg Telemetry experience for a travel contract position. This role involves working 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule (7pm-7:30am and 7am-7:30pm). Shift rotation may be adjusted based on operational needs.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Orientation & Training

• Orientation includes competency testing on medication administration and ECG interpretation.
• Completion of online training modules is mandatory before starting.
• SafeMedicate prep materials provided for exam preparation.

Notes

• Candidates with a gap of less than 6 months since their last assignment at this facility may be exempt from some orientation requirements.
• Fingerprinting must be completed both through the agency and at the facility.
• Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID at all times during the assignment.
• Holiday work is required on an every-other-holiday basis.

Summary

This travel RN position requires a strong background in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing with at least 18 months of recent and permanent experience. Candidates must hold an active Ohio or compact RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts and requires passing competency exams and completing mandatory health screenings and onboarding modules prior to starting the assignment.
