Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a CT Technologist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology to perform CT scans on inpatient, emergency room, and outpatient populations ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The role involves starting IVs, consenting patients, and delivering excellent patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.


Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

Certifications & Licenses Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • ARRT (R)(CT) – CT certification
  • State license: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia.

Work Environment & Responsibilities

  • Work on Siemens and Philips CT scanners.
  • Use Epic Medical Records and Fuji PACs.
  • Follow established protocols and policies for CT scanning.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment with technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters.
  • Average caseload: 12-24 patients per day across 4 rooms.
  • Facility is a Level 3 Trauma center with a high volume of stroke alerts.
  • Scrub color: Gray.
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed.
  • Call requirement: 8 days total during assignment with at least 2 weeks’ notice.
  • Weekend shifts: Every other weekend.
  • Holiday work expectations: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if 2, expected to work both; if 3, expected to work two of them.

Orientation & Compliance

  • Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days.
  • Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling.
  • Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length.

Patient Population

  • Neonates to Geriatrics.

Required Documentation & Screening

  • Background check completed within 30 days prior to start.
  • Education verification of related degree (can be pending at start with proof it is in process).
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Drug screening (10-panel) within 60 days of start.
  • Immunizations/vaccinations including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and seasonal flu vaccination or declination.
  • Color blindness test required.
  • Skills checklist updated within 12 months.
  • Work history verification and 2 clinical references required.

Additional Notes

  • Candidate will undergo a clinical screening to determine clinical fit.
  • Locals are accepted at the same rate.
  • Must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ARRT certification.
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
