CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Silverdale, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

A healthcare facility in Washington is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel contract. The candidate will perform all routine CT exams including trauma cases, cardiac CT, biopsies/drains, and cryo/microwave ablations. The department operates 3 CT scanners with an average of 65-70 scans per 24-hour period. Occasional floating to X-ray for ED, inpatient, and outpatient imaging may be required.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Department: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
• Equipment: 1 GE REV CT, 2 GE REV HD scanners
• EMR: EPIC
• PACS: SECTRA
• Radiologist on site 24/7
• IV skills helpful for outpatient work
• Shift types: Mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, days and nights
• Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance
• Weekend shifts vary (every weekend or every other weekend depending on needs)
• Holiday work required if scheduled
• Optional call with a 45-minute response time
• Scrub color: Any professional color; hospital scrubs provided only for OR staff
• Department orientation typically lasts 3 days

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist (R) with CT specialty certification
• Active Washington state license for CT Technologist
• Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment

Additional Information

• Orientation/education hours expected to be 25+ hours during the first 2 weeks (not guaranteed)
• Occasional floating to X-ray may be required
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) support
