Job Opportunity: Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT) (Nights)

Job Description

• Work primarily night shifts in a busy CT department with an average of 80-90 cases per 24-hour period.
• Department uses Toshiba Aquilion One 640 slice and Siemens 128 Definition AS CT equipment.
• The emergency department is located on the 1st floor; patient transporters assist with moving patients.
• Staffing includes 5 CT techs on day shift, 2-3 from 6pm to 11pm, and 1 from midnight to 6am.
• Collaboration with X-ray techs during less busy times is common, but cross-training in X-ray is not required.
• Ultrasound is staffed 24/7 nearby but functions separately.
• Systems used include EPIC EMR, McKesson PACS, and Clario software.
• The facility is a stroke center accredited and performs many brain perfusion exams using RapidAI software for intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification.
• Minimum of 24 months of CT experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Active Iowa radiology license (non-licensed candidates may apply but must obtain license upon acceptance).
• Experience with Toshiba Aquilion One 640 slice and Siemens 128 slice CT equipment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Work history/resume must reflect at least 24 months of recent CT experience.
• Skills checklist specific to CT discipline required.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.

• Orientation is scheduled prior to the first shift.
