Job Description

Seeking a Case Manager Registered Nurse with a focus on Utilization Review in a cancer specialty hospital setting. This role requires weekend availability and involves documentation using Epic and InterQual systems, as well as SBAR communication.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 5 years of Case Management experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Utilization Review (UR) including Admission Criteria, Appeals and Denials, Concurrent Review, Continued Stay Reviews, and Medical Necessity
• Experience in Acute Care and Long Term Acute Care/Rehab/Skilled Nursing settings
• Experience with Admission Criteria, InterQual Criteria, and Milliman Guidelines utilization
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Tech Cert Verification - National
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

• Background checks including social security trace, education verification, and national sex offender registry
• Education verification and diploma/transcripts
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology testing as applicable
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination form
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B series or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (time sensitive)
• Drug screening (10-panel oral drug screen within 1 year)
• Respirator questionnaire and fit testing (fit testing completed onsite; annual requirement)
• Job description acknowledgement and various facility-specific forms

Work Schedule

• Weekend shifts required
