Description

Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: High Point, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule:

  • 4x9s schedule (Monday - Thursday)
  • 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM
  • Occasional floating to other facilities may be required

Job Description

  • Perform CT and X-Ray procedures
  • Must be able to start 8-9 IVs per day
  • Work includes outpatient (adult & pediatric) and emergency department (ED) settings
  • Experience with PACS and portable imaging equipment required
  • Experience with GE and Siemens equipment preferred; Samsung X-Ray preferred
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Experience with infants and pediatrics preferred

Imaging Procedures

X-Ray:

  • Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal, Lower and Upper Extremities

CT:

  • Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Brain Perfusion, CT Angiographies (CTAs), Multiplanar Reconstruction

ED CT and X-Ray Exams:

  • Outpatient CT and X-Ray
  • Cardiac CT (Pulmonary Vein CT, Cardiac Calcium Scores, Perfusion studies)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Current BLS certification
  • ARRT certification in CT and Radiography
  • Experience in outpatient (adult and pediatric) and acute care settings
  • Experience in Emergency Department (ED) settings
  • Proficient with PACS and portable imaging equipment
  • Experience with GE Healthcare and Siemens equipment
  • X-Ray experience including Abdomen/GI, Musculoskeletal, Lower Extremities, and Upper Extremities
  • CT experience including Chest, Brain Perfusion, CT Angiographies (CTAs), and Multiplanar Reconstruction

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC approved
  • ARRT (CT and Radiography) certification
  • State licensure as applicable for Radiologic Technologist in North Carolina
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit or specialty (verify with recruiter)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Social Security Card
  • Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years
  • Education verification and transcript/diploma as applicable
  • Drug screening (10-panel, negative result required)
  • Immunizations and health documents including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
  • Physical exam (if applicable)
  • Fingerprinting (if applicable for position)

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete facility-specific documents including:
    • Health history form
    • Job description acknowledgment
    • Floating policy acknowledgment
    • Contractor equipment acknowledgment
    • Orientation safety manual acknowledgment
  • Must complete EPIC test with passing score prior to start
  • Must submit a professional badge photo meeting strict facility guidelines (no selfies, solid background, business casual attire)
  • References:
    • 2 supervisory references required for clinical positions (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
  • Employment application/resume with 7 years of work history
  • Verification of employment history for the last 5 years

Notes

  • The client has a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Flexibility with scheduling and compliance deadlines is required
  • Candidate must be able to complete all compliance requirements by the deadline prior to start date

This position offers a structured 4-day workweek with extended shifts and requires a skilled CT Technologist with strong clinical and technical experience in both CT and X-Ray imaging, including pediatric and emergency settings.
