Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Athens, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Weekend block schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Patient population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
- Work in a busy CT department with a wide range of exams including trauma, strokes with perfusion scans, routine abdomen and pelvis
- Contrast skills required
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- No call requirements
- Weekend schedule: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified
- Must work major holidays if they fall during the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Rapid turnaround time (RTO) max 7 days
- Clinical screening required to determine fit before final approval
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check completed within 30 days prior to start
- Education verification required (degree or equivalent tech certification/license)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Required immunizations or titers: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
- Flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months
- Work history verification and clinical references required
Additional Information
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length
- Floating within the facility may be required
- No scrub color restrictions
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start
