Job Opportunity: Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Job Description

• Primarily a CT Technologist position; X-Ray experience is also required.
• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking.
• Apply appropriate skills to facilitate diagnosis.
• May have supervisory or instructional responsibilities within the department.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and practice infection control according to OSHA and hospital policies.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
• Must comply with departmental policies regarding requested time off; no more than 5 days of time off allowed during the assignment.
• Must have own vehicle for transportation to the facility.
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (CT) Certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• X-Ray Technician experience

Additional Information

• All requested time off must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no requests will be approved after submission or during the interview process.
• Non-billable orientation of 8 hours is required.
• The facility is a teaching hospital with a full continuum of medical specialties and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department offering 24-hour service.
