Cath Lab Tech - Texas (Mesquite)

Job Details

• Location: Float between two facilities in Mesquite and Farmers Branch, Texas
• Shift: Days, 06:30 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible schedule)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• On-Call: Yes, rotating call 12-15 days per month and every other weekend

  • Call hours: Monday-Friday 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM, weekends 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24 hours)
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrubs: Any color (provided by hospital)
• Patient Population: Includes COVID-19 patients

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• ACLS certification
• ARRT or RCIS certification
• Valid license appropriate for Cath Lab Technician role in Texas
• Driver’s License/State ID required

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Updated resume reflecting recent work history
• Two professional references (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
• National criminal background check (must be current within one year; Texas requires completion before assignment start)
• Drug screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC, completed within 60 days of start
• COVID-19 vaccination: Two doses plus booster or documented declination
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • MMR (proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination)
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement)
  • TB test within one year of start date
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity titer
  • Tdap vaccine (declination may not be accepted in some locations)
• Annual respirator fit test (3M 1860(s) mask or equivalent)
• Completion of competency exams with a minimum score of 80%:

  • Core Competencies Exam
  • Specialty Exam
• Skills checklist completion required
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
• Agency attestation and other professional compliance documents as required

Additional Information

• Call schedule and hours may vary based on unit needs
• Facility provides scrubs; any color allowed
• Must be able to float between two nearby facilities within the region
