Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Specialty: Medical/Surgical with Telemetry experience
Job Description
- Provide nursing care for medical/surgical patients with telemetry monitoring.
- Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) schedule.
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience.
- Telemetry experience within the last year.
- Neurology nursing experience.
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Drug screen: 10-panel drug test completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
- Criminal background check covering federal, nationwide, and county records from the last 7 years.
- Social Security Number verification.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- Various professional compliance forms including:
- Code of Conduct
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure
- Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
- Integrity and Audit Services Form
- Non-Employee Upload Form
- Criminal History and Abuse Registry checks specific to Iowa
- OFAC sanctions screening
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical competency verification.
Additional Notes
- License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of assignment start.
- All required documents and verifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
- This position requires working night shifts with telemetry patient care responsibilities.
