Job Opportunity: IMC Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Work Schedule: Includes some weekends and holidays; minimal to no RTO (Return to Office)

Unit & Role Details

• IMCU Stepdown unit
• Responsibilities include managing intermediate critical care patients
• Required skills:

  • Intermediate familiarity with flow monitoring (FM)
  • IV starts
  • Lab draws/sample collecting
  • Experience titrating critical drips

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Intermediate familiarity with flow monitoring (FM)
• Experience with sample collecting
• Experience titrating critical drips

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity: Color copy of driver's license or government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Background checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • SSN trace, counties, national sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, nationwide checks
  • Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted)
• State-specific fingerprinting: Georgia GCHEXS fingerprint results required for CNAs (not applicable for RN)
• Employment history: Two recent supervisor/manager references verified within 12 months
• Performance evaluations and skills checklists if applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date, updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted); if past positive, chest x-ray within 2 years and TB questionnaire within 30 days required
• Immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines (declination form accepted if negative/equivocal)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (declination form accepted if negative/equivocal)
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (9/3 through 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided; deadline for flu shot or exemption is November 21st
• Fit test for masks provided onsite at no cost

Orientation & Facility Specifics

• Completion of assigned HealthStream modules prior to first day is mandatory
• Photo for badge must be submitted within 24 hours of signing; must be a professional-style photo (shoulders up, plain background, no selfies)
• Review and adherence to facility dress code required
• Facility-specific forms (e.g., IS115, IS119) must be completed and signed with full legal name and address, using wet ink or DocuSign only

Additional Notes

• Start date is approximately 3 weeks from offer acceptance
• Candidates 31-50 miles from the facility may receive a reduction in bill rate (not included here)
• Minimal to no return to office (RTO) days expected; must be included on submission
