Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Weekend rotation required, no on-call duties
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Graduate from a School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT Registries in Radiography (R) and CT
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Certifications & Compliance
- Maintain current BLS certification with timely renewals accepted via Certificates of Completion/Attestation
- Education Verification required for Radiologic Technologist (Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology)
- Background checks including SSN trace, nationwide and county searches, sex offender registry, and caregiver screening per Wisconsin state mandate
- Drug screening required per clinical standards
- Physical exam must be collected to meet agency standards (within 1 year)
- Immunization and health document requirements include:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray with appropriate follow-up if positive
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer, with exemptions accepted
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or documented declination form
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required annually during flu season)
- Other vaccines or declinations as applicable (e.g., Meningococcal for certain departments)
Testing & Competency Requirements
- Pass facility-specific telemetry exams if applicable (not typically required for CT Techs)
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Skills checklist required annually
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and pass/fail testing as required
Documentation & Onboarding
- Completion of Wisconsin BID Form and caregiver screening prior to start
- Submission of photo for badge creation (passport-style, no headwear except for religious/medical reasons)
- Employment application and references (2 clinical references within last 3 years) required
- Compliance with facility-specific background checks and education verifications
Additional Notes
- No prior travel experience explicitly required
- No call responsibilities
- Facility requires strict adherence to background check and immunization policies
- All certifications and verifications must be primary source verified within 30 days of start and maintained throughout assignment
This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with solid clinical experience in CT imaging, appropriate licensure, and readiness to comply with comprehensive facility and state requirements.
