Job Opportunity: RN Surgery Traveler

Location: National City, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM

Job Description

• On-call hours vary: typically 16 hours Monday through Friday (except holidays), and 24 hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Must work independently after department orientation.
• Ability to perform nursing duties in general surgery, neurology, spine, orthopedics, urology, eyes, and dental (training provided onsite for eyes and dental).
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR); training provided for MediTech system.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Reliable transportation required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
• Perioperative nursing experience
• Neurosurgery experience
• Orthopedics experience
• Urology experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP) certification
• ARN 101 training completed

Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse in Surgery
