Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Description
- Registered Nurse needed for a Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU) step down setting.
- Start date is approximately 3 weeks from offer.
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) and holidays required.
- Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) days; must be included on submission.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner.
- Dress code requires Royal Blue scrubs (not provided).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 3 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Intermediate to Advanced Foley Management (FM) skills
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
Candidates must provide the following for verification and credentialing:
- Government-issued photo ID (color copy of driver’s license required; black and white not accepted).
- Proof of education (diploma or transcript accepted).
- Background check: 7-year criminal history including SSN trace, counties, national sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, nationwide checks, and education verification.
- Employment application/resume.
- Two recent supervisor/manager references verified within 12 months (charge RN references accepted but not preferred).
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
- TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted). For past positives, chest x-ray within 2 years and TB questionnaire within 30 days required.
- Immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines; declination form accepted if negative/equivocal)
- Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; declination form accepted if negative/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (September 3 – March 31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided. Exemptions require facility approval and mask wearing at all times. Deadline for flu shot or exemption submission is November 21.
- Facility-specific forms including IS115 and IS119 (time sensitive, must be wet signed or signed via DocuSign).
- Photo for badge: passport-style, shoulders up, plain background, no selfies, jpeg format, submitted within 24 hours of signing.
Additional Information
- Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility are not eligible as travelers. Local candidates living 31-50 miles may be accepted at local rates.
- Fingerprinting requirements apply primarily to CNAs; however, candidates must be willing to complete fingerprinting if applicable.
- Facility will assign HealthStream modules that must be completed prior to the first day of work.
- Fit testing for masks will be completed onsite at no cost.
Summary
This is a night shift travel nursing opportunity for an experienced step down RN with strong telemetry and IV skills, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 3 years recent step down experience. The assignment is 13 weeks with potential extension, requiring weekend and holiday coverage. Candidates must meet comprehensive credentialing, immunization, and compliance requirements prior to start. Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
