Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location

  • Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks minimum

Specialty

Work Schedule

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
  • Call shifts: 6 to 10 per schedule, with a 30-minute response time required
  • Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Holidays included in rotation

Unit Details

  • Cath Lab with 3 main beds plus 1 EP and 1 Hybrid bed (vascular & cardiac cases)
  • Cases per day: 10-25
  • Nurse circulates; techs scrub
  • Charge nurse present
  • Nurse aides are radiology techs (BLS certified) covering Endo and CVOR
  • Equipment: Phillips telemetry, Siemens equipment
  • EMR systems: Cerner and Xper
  • Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
  • Floor-specific orientation: 2 days on the job

Patient Population / Procedures

  • Interventional cardiology, EP lab, peripheral vascular cases
  • Procedures include MitraClip, TAVR, IABP, and Emtala placement

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • MRTBE (Medical Radiologic Technologist Board Examination) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in Emergency Department (ED)
  • Experience in Neuro ICU
