Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography
Location
- Warren, Michigan
Contract Length
- 17 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
- May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
- Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the exam.
- Review clinical data and obtain additional patient medical history as needed.
- Prepare procedure room and replenish supplies.
- Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
- Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic images.
- Administer intravenous contrast media, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed.
- Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Apply radiation protection principles (shielding, dose reduction, ALARA techniques).
- Manage imaging quality and documentation in PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Complete all necessary clinical and billing documentation.
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (7 PM to 7 AM)
- Every other weekend
- Block schedule with weekend coverage
- No on-call required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist within the last year.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and holds an advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or is registry-eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

- Ability to work in a hospital or ambulatory mobile unit setting.
- Physical ability to occasionally lift/move equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
- Awareness of radiation safety and infection control precautions.
