Occupational Therapist - California (San Ramon Area)
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Location: San Ramon, CA (with travel required within assigned county territories including Fremont, Castro Valley, Hayward, Oakland, Berkeley, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton, and surrounding areas)
Job Description
- Open to new graduates.
- Home health experience preferred but not required.
- Two scheduling options available:
- Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 36 hours/week with productivity expectations (at least 27 points per week, equivalent to 30 points completed weekly). May require travel outside assigned area or weekend work to meet visit expectations.
- Non-Guaranteed Hours: No guaranteed hours, weekend coverage may be required, occasional travel outside service area possible. Ability to refuse patients.
- Must be willing to see COVID-positive and COVID-PUI patients.
- Visits are tracked by points, with each visit type converting to points and hours (e.g., OASIS visits = 1 point = 1.33 hours).
- Compensation covers all time including travel, documentation, and patient/doctor communications.
Required Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Driver’s License, auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
- Up-to-date immunizations and screenings including:
- TB (annual)
- MMR
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B
- Tdap (within 10 years)
- Annual Flu vaccine
- Drug screen and physical exam required.
Additional Information
- Strict adherence to contract start/end dates and requested time off disclosure is mandatory.
- Time off requests must be submitted at the time of application; late requests will not be approved.
- Compliance with agency contract standards is required to maintain vendor status.
