Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical - Iowa

Job Details

• Location: Elkader, Iowa
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 05:45 AM – 06:15 PM
• Schedule: Weekend coverage, 2 out of every 6 weekends (Every Other Weekend)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Health and Safety Requirements

• Fit test
• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (9-panel drug screen with specific substances; no THC) completed within 30 days prior to start
• COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster through September 2025) or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab results
• Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start (titers not accepted)
• Influenza vaccine (optional) with proof or declination/exemption
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
• Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer lab results
• Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
• Tdap vaccine or declination (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)

Background and Compliance

• Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
• OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including aliases and locations
• Iowa-specific Sing Report (Criminal History, Sex Offender, Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Registries) within 30 days prior to start
• OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days prior to start
• Signed Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Integrity and Audit Services Form, and Non-Employee Upload Form
• System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start

Additional Requirements

• Resume and skills checklist within the past year
• Two professional references
• Specialty skills checklist provided by the agency for clinical contractors
• Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only)

This position requires a dedicated RN with solid Medical/Surgical experience, compliance with comprehensive credentialing and health requirements, and availability for weekend shifts on a long-term contract.
