CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) – Travel Assignment

Location: Chandler, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves working primarily in Radiology - CT, performing imaging studies related to stroke, trauma, emergency room, and inpatient cases. The position requires working night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage, including call responsibilities approximately every 4th Friday and 5th Saturday with a 1-hour response time.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience (within the past 6 months)
• Active ARRT certification in CT and MRTBE CT certification
• Active BLS certification
• Radiation badge required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (or approved religious/medical exemption)
• Must not have worked in Arizona as a permanent staff employee in the past 12 months or currently hold an active position at an acute care hospital in Arizona

Preferred Experience

• Siemens CT scanner experience strongly preferred
• Level One trauma center experience preferred

Work Environment & Equipment

• Department has 2 CT scanners staffed by 2 technologists
• Uses Cerner EMR and PACS systems
• Siemens CT equipment
• Radiologist available in-house during the day; teleradiology used otherwise
• No IV starts required
• Scrubs provided (teal color)
• CT-specific orientation provided in person

Scheduling & Coverage

• Night shifts with two main schedules:

  • Thursday through Sunday, 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Monday through Wednesday, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM
• Call every 4th Friday and every 5th Saturday with a 1-hour response time
• Holiday coverage required

Additional Notes

• Candidate may be required to float to a sister facility as needed
• Average daily scan volume approximately 300 studies
