Description

Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Shift: 10-hour Days (06:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Operating Room RN position requiring strong experience in orthopedic, oncology, bariatrics, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotics cases.
  • Call required: 1 shift per week after scheduled day (2-4 hours) plus 1-2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month.
  • Floating required; travelers are prioritized for floating and may float to other nearby campuses.
  • Use of Epic EMR system.
  • Hospital provides scrubs.
  • Culture emphasizes integration of travelers as core staff members.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience.
  • Must have robotic and orthopedic/neuro surgical experience.
  • Prior travel experience is required.
  • Active Florida RN license or compact license at time of application.
  • BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Degree accreditation must be documented on profile or candidate must have at least 5 years of experience.
  • Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule from permanent address.
  • Complete demographic information required at submission (address, full DOB, full SSN, RN license number).
  • Hard document submission deadline: Monday prior to start date, no exceptions for pending documents.

Additional Notes

  • Final offer contingent on interview and manager approval.
  • All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; no approvals after submission.
