Job Description
- Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor.
- Provides specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and pediatric patients.
- Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions.
- Works in various care settings including acute inpatient, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote outreach clinics.
- Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Operates specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
- Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
- Performs quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience working with pediatric patients.
- Experience working with Level 1 trauma patients.
