Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Work in a very busy, fast-paced Emergency Room (ER) with 54 beds serving both pediatric and adult patients.
- The ER is a Level 2 Trauma Center with high patient volume and acuity, averaging 220 patients per day.
- EPIC electronic health record system experience is required.
- Preceptor and triage experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification)
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Additional Information
- Local candidates within 50 miles receive a differential.
- Fingerprinting (Maryland CJIS/DSS/FBI) required for school placements only.
- Skills checklist and competency exams required as applicable.
- Candidates must comply with all health and safety documentation and annual updates as required.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity trauma center ER with a supportive environment for experienced travel nurses.
