Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Macon, Georgia
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract Length: 11 weeks
- Floating: Within hospital and to a nearby hospital as needed
- Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
Unit Information
- Critical care skills required, including:
- Intubation
- Airway management
- Arterial line insertion
- CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credentials are NOT accepted
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Holiday work expectations:
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
- If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
- If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work 2 of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Critical care skills, including intubation, airway management, and arterial line insertion
Compliance and Orientation
- Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time
- Non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
- Candidate must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
Additional Notes
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit before final manager approval
- Prior travel experience is NOT required for this position
