Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Utica, New York
Shift: 2:30 PM – 3:00 AM (12-hour evening shift)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Work in a 64-bed Emergency Department unit including triage, acute care, super track, trauma, CDU, and psychiatric areas.
- Patient population includes newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
- Common diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure.
- Use specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Floating to other units is required.
- Charge nurse capability is highly preferred.
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York.
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience working with pediatric patients.
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS issued by American Heart Association, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Prior travel nursing experience (must be documented).
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records.

- Scrub color: Navy blue.
