Respiratory Therapist (Temp)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with extensive hospital experience to work varied shifts. Must be able to float across different units within the hospital and provide care primarily for adult patients, including NICU level III patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa
• Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system

Work Environment & Expectations

• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
• Scrubs allowed in any solid color tops and bottoms.
• No consideration for Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRTs).
• Must be willing and able to float across different hospital units.

• Orientation scheduled for July 20.
• Professional references from supervisors or managers within the last 24 months preferred.
• Employee separation policy restricts certain past employees from working travel assignments in this market.

This position is ideal for experienced RRTs with recent NICU and hospital experience who have completed prior travel assignments and are comfortable working varied shifts in a hospital setting.
