Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Canton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), 1 shift per week
- Weekend rotation required
- No call required
- Equipment: Work with GE Evo64 slice CT units
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check required prior to start, including a 7-year FCRA-compliant search
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing and updated annually
- Fingerprint results must be received prior to contract extension; some exceptions apply for Radiology/Cardiology specialties
- Education verification required for all candidates
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M 1860 small/regular or 1870+ masks)
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start; chest x-ray required if prior positive TB test
- Immunizations required with official documentation:
- Measles (Rubeola): 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Mumps: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination documentation
- Tdap vaccine every 10 years (medical exemptions require physician note)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31)
- 10-panel drug screen required, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
Documentation and History
- Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar specialty
- Two professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse required (co-worker references not accepted)
- Annual skills checklist required
Additional Notes
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start is mandatory; modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome
- Badge photo required prior to start
- Travelers with breaks in employment longer than 6 months may need to repeat orientation modules
- Legal name must be used consistently in all documentation systems
