Description

Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location

  • Pratt, Kansas

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Workdays: Weekdays with some weekends

Job Description

  • Medical Surgical nursing with strong orthopedic experience required
  • General surgery experience also needed
  • Skills required: IV start, telemetry (Tele), charge nurse experience
  • Experience with total hips and knees (orthopedic surgeries) is a plus
  • Rural health experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with TRUBRIDGE EMR preferred but training available
  • Must be able to quickly adapt and "jump in" to the role

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kansas
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Orthopedic experience
  • General surgery experience
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
