Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Work Schedule

Overnight shift, 3 nights per week: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Includes 1 shift of call per month
Floating to surgery approximately 1 shift per week for emergent cases
Primarily working in the department or ER performing portable and room X-rays during other shifts

Job Description

Entry-level position working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients
Provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics
Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders
Collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals
Operates specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures
Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards
Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting
Performs quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
Participates in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and improve care

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including recent experience within the last year
Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Certifications & Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
