Cath Lab Technologist - California (Travel Contract)

Job Details

Location: Glendale, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 10 hours per day, 36 hours per week (flexible shifts with call coverage after shift ends)
Unit: Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR)
Number of Suites/Labs: 3
Average Cases per Day: 8-10
EMR/Equipment: Meditech, GE MacLab

Job Description

Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, pacemaker and defibrillator placements, PICC line placements, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and pleurovacs.
Scrub experience required.
Call requirements:
- Weekend call: Two weekends per month, 24-hour call (6:30am to 6:30am)
- Evening call: 1-2 times per week after day shift (~5pm), with a 30-minute response time
Orientation: One shift on unit for floor-specific orientation
No floating required
Charge nurse present on unit
24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support available

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ARRT certification
Fluoroscopy license

Additional Information

Scrub color and supplies provided
Prior travel experience preferred but not required
Work environment includes 10-hour day shifts with guaranteed time off (GTE) of 36 hours weekly
Cardiologists are on 24-hour call for support
