Cath Lab Technologist - California (Travel Contract)

Job Details

  • Location: Glendale, California
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Days
  • Hours: 10 hours per day, 36 hours per week (flexible shifts with call coverage after shift ends)
  • Unit: Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Number of Suites/Labs: 3
  • Average Cases per Day: 8-10
  • EMR/Equipment: Meditech, GE MacLab

Job Description

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, pacemaker and defibrillator placements, PICC line placements, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and pleurovacs.
  • Scrub experience required.
  • Call requirements:
    • Weekend call: Two weekends per month, 24-hour call (6:30am to 6:30am)
    • Evening call: 1-2 times per week after day shift (~5pm), with a 30-minute response time
  • Orientation: One shift on unit for floor-specific orientation
  • No floating required
  • Charge nurse present on unit
  • 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support available

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ARRT certification
  • Fluoroscopy license

Additional Information

  • Scrub color and supplies provided
  • Prior travel experience preferred but not required
  • Work environment includes 10-hour day shifts with guaranteed time off (GTE) of 36 hours weekly
  • Cardiologists are on 24-hour call for support
