Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Conyers, Georgia
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit Details

• Split lab rotating between Cardiac, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology
• Weekend shifts included in call schedule
• Approximately 9-10 call shifts per 6-week schedule, including weekends
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Radiation Therapist within the last year

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Full compliance required prior to start; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
• Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification and criminal history
• Education verification required; diplomas/transcripts may be needed for verification
• Physical exam within 12 months of start required by agency
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation of immunity:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 doses or positive titer
  • Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
  • Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable
• References: 2 clinical references required by agency
• Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
• Verification of most recent work history required; can be pending at start with proof of processing

Scheduling & Holidays

• Call shifts approximately 9-10 per 6-week period, including weekends
• If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler expected to work it
• If 2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler expected to work both
• If 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler expected to work 2 of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day

• Locals accepted at same rate
• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
