Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - Long-Term Assignment

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Long-term assignment with evening/night shift hours.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Neurology

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• License and certification verifications must be uploaded with machine-generated date within 30 days of start.
• Background checks including federal, nationwide, county criminal history (last 7 years), SSN verification, and state-specific registries.
• Completion of various professional forms and agreements related to code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, integrity, audit services, and system security.
• Drug screening and specialty skills checklist to be completed and documented.
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
• Exclusion screenings (OIG, EPLS, NSO) within 30 days of start.
• System access form to be completed and uploaded one week before start.
• Iowa-specific child and adult dependent abuse training and registry checks required.
