Pulmonary Function Technologist
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Summary
- Perform all pulmonary function testing modalities in the Pulmonary Function Lab.
- Assist in developing and implementing new testing procedures, equipment, and policies.
- Oversee and train respiratory therapy students during clinical rotations in the lab.
- Participate in biologic control testing and clarify ambiguous testing orders.
- Maintain compliance with documentation and charge policies.
- Assist with daily transaction activity reports and monthly statistics compilation.
- Ensure accurate patient registration in accordance with CMS policies.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, providers, and ambulatory care offices for scheduling and coordination.
- Provide patient appointment confirmations and testing instructions when needed.
- Assist with supply ordering and inventory control to maintain budget.
- Monitor daily operation of the Blood Gas Lab to ensure adherence to CAP guidelines.
- Prepare, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot pulmonary function testing equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in New Hampshire.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) credential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
