Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Syracuse, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 (36 hours per week)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) & Every Other Holiday (EOH) per department rotation
Call Requirement: No call required

Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Work 36 hours per week during the specified shift.
- Must be willing to travel at least 75 miles from home (no local contracts).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Health and Safety Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof (or approved declination/exemption where allowed).
- MMR vaccination proof or immunity confirmation.
- Varicella vaccination proof or immunity confirmation.
- Tdap vaccination or approved declination if no pediatric interaction.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start.
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test, with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements.
- Influenza vaccine is optional.
- Fit test for N95 masks as applicable by state.
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start.
Professional Requirements
- Resume and skills checklist updated within the last year.
- Two professional references.
- Signed Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreements.
- Completed I9 form.
- Criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification.
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED).
- Employment verification for the last 7 years.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) checks within 30 days of start.
- Integrity and audit services form signed within 30 days prior to start.
- Joint Commission CORE exam completed within the last year.
- OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days of start.
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check within 30 days of start, including aliases and locations.
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors.
Additional Notes
- No local contracts; candidates must be located 75+ miles from the assignment location.
- Epic EHR experience preferred.
- No call required during the assignment.
