Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Cath Lab Tech)

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Weekend work required
• On-call required: 12-13 days of call in a 6-week period

  • Call hours: 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM weekdays; 5:30 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday on weekends (rotating call team)
• No floating to other units or sister facilities
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Cath Lab Technologist
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
• On-call availability with 12-13 days of call in a 6-week period (weekday calls 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM and weekend calls 5:30 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday on rotation)

Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• Valid Maryland state license (compact licenses accepted only with proof of Maryland residency)
• Driver’s license/state ID matching license state required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions (updated annually)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific approved mask types required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with annual updates)
  • Positive or vaccinated status for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination)
  • Flu vaccine required annually (no declinations accepted)
• NIH Stroke Certification (AHA or APEX) required within first week if not already held
• Proof of 2 clinical references
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement or HIPAA form signed

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted but at a reduced rate
• No block scheduling accommodations
• One request allowed for return to office (RTO) restrictions
