Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Cardiology Focus)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Description

Join a high-acuity cardiology care team providing advanced cardiac care on a medical/surgical unit. This role involves delivering top-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment focused on cardiac patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid Driver’s License

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Driver’s License/State ID: Non-expired photo ID required for submission.
• Tuberculosis Screening: 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with negative results within the last 6 months. If positive, a clear chest x-ray (valid for 5 years) and current TB questionnaire are required. This is an annual requirement.
• Influenza Vaccine: Proof required from October through March. If declined, mask-wearing at all times while working is mandatory, along with completion of specific declination forms. Medical exemptions require physician documentation.
• Criminal Background Check: Must be completed within 6 months prior to start, including Social Security trace, county searches for the last 7 years, national criminal and sex offender checks. International background check required if not residing in the U.S. for the past 5 years.
• OIG Exclusion Search: Completed within 6 months prior to start; only required upon initial hire.
• SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC Screening: Completed within 6 months prior to start; only required upon initial hire.
• Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start. Instant drug screens and attestations are not accepted. If there is a break in assignment over 60 days, a new drug screen is required.
• Safety and Compliance Training: Completion of required non-employee safety and compliance modules prior to clearance; renewal annually.
• Badge Photo: Professional headshot (shoulders up, plain background) in JPEG format required before onboarding.

Additional Information

• National database criminal background check is optional but recommended for Ohio residents to meet fingerprint requirements.
• This position is based in a high-acuity cardiology unit within a major medical center.
