Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care
Location
- Utica, New York
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Intermediate Care (2 years of experience)
- Intermediate Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
Job Details
- Local candidates accepted if within 75 miles
- Floating required
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- EPIC experience required
Unit Overview
- Intermediate care unit with 64 beds, including 15 designated neuro beds
- Adult patients, ages 18+
- Common cases include neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op
- Specialty equipment includes temporary pacer, chest tubes, arterial lines, and BiPAP
- Chronic vents are present, with respiratory therapy assisting
