ER Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel assignment in California
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC certification
- 2 years of ER experience within the last 3 years
Schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays required
- Possible call/standby shifts
- First to float
Unit Details
- 11-bed trauma bay area
- 20–40 patients per day
- State ratio no more than 1:4
- Travelers are expected to do triage
- ER nurses manage their own holds
- No separate psych/seclusion rooms
- In-house security available
- RN staff read telemetry strips
- CT and X-ray are immediately adjacent
- Phlebotomy is available; RN draws blood when starting IVs
- RT supports vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, Airvo, ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs
