Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for protecting, promoting, and optimizing health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy. The RN ensures compliance with professional standards and promotes a patient-centered, caring, and healing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Serve as primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Administer medications safely using pharmacology knowledge.
• Share responsibility for productivity and resource utilization including staffing and time management.
• Comply with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies.
• Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, improvement initiatives, and peer review.
• Engage in professional development and complete mandatory education.
• Integrate nursing research and evidence-based practice.
• Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York.
• Acute Care (5 years of experience).
• Acute Care experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Nursing (RN) experience of 6 months to 3 years.
• Management experience of 0 to 3 years.
• 5 or more years of direct experience.
• Interventional Radiology experience.
• Experience with Epic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
• Previous clinical nursing experience in acute care or ambulatory settings.
• Certifications such as PALS, TNCC, or other relevant specialty certifications.
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.

Work Schedule

• Day shift, rotational.
• 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday, with on-call one day per week.
• On-call every third weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM).

Contract Length

• 13 weeks.
